Unison — Terms of Service

Last updated: 8 September 2026

Please read these terms before using Unison. By creating an account you agree to them.

Unison is operated from New South Wales, Australia. You can reach us at contactus@unisonfitnessapp.com.

1. Unison is not medical or fitness advice

This is the most important thing on this page.

Unison sets a weekly physical challenge — push-ups, runs, squats and similar — and records how long you take. It is a timer and a scoreboard. It is not a training programme written for you, and nothing in it is medical advice.

You are responsible for deciding what is sensible for your own body.

2. You must be at least 13

You need to be 13 or older to use Unison. If you are under 13, you may not create an account, and we will delete one if we find it.

If you are between 13 and 18, please make sure a parent or guardian is happy for you to use Unison and understands section 1.

3. Your account

4. What you post

Unison lets you comment on other people's workouts, cheer them, and be seen by people who follow you.

You keep ownership of what you write and the photo you upload. By posting it you allow us to store it and show it to the people the app is designed to show it to — nothing more. We do not sell it, licence it to anyone else, or use it to advertise.

Do not post anything that is:

5. Reporting, blocking, and what we do about it

If someone is behaving badly, you have two tools and both work immediately:

We aim to review every report within 24 hours and will remove content that breaks section 4. We may suspend or delete accounts that do it repeatedly or seriously.

You can also delete any comment on your own workout, and any comment you wrote yourself, whenever you like.

6. Deleting your account

You can delete your account yourself, at any time, from Settings → Delete account. You will be asked for your password.

It is immediate and permanent. Your workouts, times, comments, cheers, achievements, follows and photo are deleted and cannot be recovered — not by you, and not by us. Rivalries you took part in are removed, including from the other person's history.

7. What we promise, and what we do not

Unison is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and accurate, but:

If we ever have to stop running Unison, we will give reasonable notice where we can.

8. Limits on our responsibility

To be reviewed by a lawyer before publication. This section carries real legal weight in Australia, and the wording below is a plain-English starting point rather than settled drafting. Australian Consumer Law rights cannot be excluded, and any limitation has to be written with that in mind.

Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

Beyond those rights, and to the extent the law allows: we are not responsible for injury, loss or damage arising from your use of Unison, including from performing the challenges, from relying on a time or distance it recorded, or from it being unavailable.

9. Ending your access

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, particularly section 4. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Unison after that means you accept the new version.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts of New South Wales have jurisdiction.
